Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Journalcast mobile application (the "App") and of the Journalcast web app at app.journalcast.app (the "Web App"). By downloading or using the App, or by signing in to the Web App, you agree to them.

The Web App

The Web App is for existing members. You sign in with the same account you use in the App (Apple, Google, or email and password). You cannot create an account or buy a subscription on the web. In the Web App you can listen to content, your listening progress syncs between the Web App and the App, and you can edit your profile and delete your account.

Subscriptions and Billing

Journalcast Premium is an auto-renewing subscription sold only through the Apple App Store in the App; it cannot be bought on the web. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings at any time. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

A subscription bought in the App also unlocks premium content in the Web App when you sign in with the same account. Billing, renewal and cancellation are handled by Apple, not on the web.

Emails

As a member you will receive account emails, such as sign-in codes and password resets. Unless you opt out, you may also receive a short welcome series and occasional product emails. Each of those has a one-tap unsubscribe, and opting out does not affect account emails. If you give us your email address on our website to be sent the link to download Journalcast, we will email you the link and a few short emails about Journalcast; you can unsubscribe at any time. Our Privacy Policy explains these emails in full.

Standard Licence

Use of the App is licensed under Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement, available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the App or the Web App, attempt to access either by means other than the interface we provide, or reproduce or redistribute its audio content.

Content and Wellbeing

Journalcast provides reflective journaling prompts. It is not medical care, therapy, or a substitute for professional advice. If you are in crisis, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of the App or the Web App means you accept any updates.
