Journalcast vs Calm: for when you want to write, not just breathe

Both apps put a calm voice in your headphones. They point it at different jobs.

Calm describes itself as an app for sleep, meditation and relaxation. Journalcast is for getting what is in your head onto paper: a calm voice asks one question at a time while you write in your own notebook.

They are not really rivals, and plenty of people could use both. Everything we say about Calm comes from its App Store listing, read on October 23, 2026.
